Every gamer wants a comfortable and cozy chair when playing games. And most of us are looking for budget options. In the Philippines there are lots of brands that offers gaming chair like Rakk Gears, Drakon, AK Racing, Fantech, Sharkoon and many more.
And one of them is Panther Gaming Gears, a Philippine-based company that provides gaming chairs on an affordable price tag. So first who is Panther Gaming Gears?
Panther Gaming Gears started way back Sept 2017 and started advertising on some PC & gaming groups for their products. They started as an online shop that sells gaming chairs, keyboards, and other accessories. They believe that the budget shouldn’t be a barrier to getting a pleasant gaming experience. They take pride in providing a selection of good quality products and satisfying our clients with unmatched customer service.
One of their products is the Gaming Chair #2 (Black and White), I ordered this way back Dec 7, 2018 since I want to get a new gaming chair. And I always see Panther Gaming Gears advertising “budget & quality chairs” and I’m seeing a lot of people satisfied with their products. Lots of negotiation happened while trying to order due to some stock issues, my order keeps getting delayed day by day. After waiting for several days the chair arrived late night Dec 9, 2018, at first I was really happy since the chair is here and I can finally assemble it. After assembling the chair I was really disappointed, I decided to return it since they have this “3-day return policy” IF YOU DONT LIKE THE ITEM or there’s a defect.
DISCLAIMER: I DIDNT ORDER THIS CHAIR BECAUSE OF THEIR POLICY OR TO MAKE A CONTENT FOR FREE AND MAKE MONEY OUT OF IT. I AM A CONSUMER WHO HAS RIGHTS, AND FOR ME I DIDNT LIKE THE ITEM. THIS CONTENT IS JUST TO PROVIDE MY OPINION ON THEIR PRODUCTS SIMILAR TO FEEDBACKS OR REVIEWS GIVEN TO THEM BY THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Here’s my explanation why I returned the item after assembling it:
- the chair isn’t comfortable – I can feel the metal frame on the back & legs
- doesn’t have much foam in it
- some screws aren’t that good – some are loose, some doesn’t match
- t-bar at the back looks cheap
- reclining the back feels like you’re about to fall back
- the base of the chair is wobbly
- it’s not a massage pillow, it’s a vibration pillow
This chair doesn’t meet the main requirement or the purpose of a gaming chair, which is comfortability and quality. Someone told me that I’m used to premium chairs, no I’m NOT. The most expensive chair I’ve ever used is the Rakk Casap which is 6k php. I’ve used a lot of other chairs like furniture chair for 4k, executive chair for 4k, some mesh chair and other gaming chairs like Drakon and RAKK ALO. So if you’re saying that you can’t compare this chair just because its 3-4k, then you’re wrong.
Having a budget gaming chair doesn’t mean you will compromise the main point of having a gaming chair. Its all about comfortability and getting cozy while gaming. Another thing is their advertisement, I don’t like the way they advertise this as a “budget quality chair”.
All in all the things I pointed out is similar to other people’s experience. I’m not discouraging you from buying this chair but I just want you to pick the best and bang for the buck gaming chair WITHOUT COMPROMISES. There are lots of solid gaming chairs out there that provide quality and comfortable chairs at an affordable price like RAKK Gears Drakon and Sharkoon ranging from 4-8k php.
