Around 12 am of Sept 2, NVIDIA Geforce Philippines went live to broadcast the countdown of their 21 years of continuous innovation in graphics processing.
And here they revealed the 1st members of the Ampere architecture family (newest architecture of NVIDIA graphics card). The RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 along with their prices and availability.
RTX 3070
Geforce RTX 3070 with an Ampere Architecture has 8GB GDDR6X and has an SRP of $499 or around 24248.41 PHP and will be available around October.
RTX 3080
The Geforce RTX 3080 thermal architecture will work well any PC case cooling system and boasts 20% much cooler than the Turing GPU’s. It also features a super compact PCB design to allow better cooling inside the GPU.
NVIDIA also features the “flow-through cooling system” of the RTX 3080 to be 3x much quieter than the Turing design. It can cool down 90w of heat from the GPU with its flow-through cooling design.
Geforce RTX 3080 has 10GB GDDR6X and its starting price is $699 or 33967.21 PHP. NVIDIA said that it will be available around September 17 but we might have to wait for the arrival of these new GPU’s here in the Philippines.
RTX 3090
This massive GPU, Geforce RTX 3090 has 24GB GDDR6x memory and its starting price is $1499 or 72842.41 PHP and will be available on Sept. 24.
NVIDIA claims that the 1st generations of the Ampere GPU’s is a huge leap from the previous Turing architecture. But in order to assess the real-life performance of these GPU’s and to see if its really worth the money, we have to wait for the benchmarks on some of the famous Tech reviewers and see how well will these GPU’s perform.
